Locator BG

Locator BG (locatorbg.com) is Finite Software Systems' own GPS fleet-tracking platform, used every day by transport companies, service fleets and large Bulgarian businesses to know where their vehicles are and what they are doing. Every vehicle appears live on a map — moving or stopped, engine on or off, how fast and since when — so whoever is running the fleet can answer "where is it?" in a couple of seconds instead of making a phone call.

Around that live picture sits everything a fleet actually runs on. Journeys are reconstructed automatically into trips with distances, driving times and stops, which become mileage logs, business-versus-private travel records and cost reports. Fleet managers set service intervals and are reminded before a vehicle falls due; they are alerted when something happens — a vehicle leaves the area it should be in, moves outside working hours, or a tracker goes quiet. The platform also handles electronic road tolls for Bulgaria and across the EU, keeping balances, charge history and invoicing alongside the rest of the fleet's paperwork, and it reports vehicle positions into the freight-visibility networks that shippers ask their carriers to be on.

The hard part is not the map — it is that the data behind it never stops. Vehicles report their position continuously, day and night, and every one of those messages has to be received, made sense of and turned into something a person can read, without losing a single journey and without the system slowing down as the fleet grows. Locator BG has been doing exactly that in production for years, for fleets of every size, and it is the platform a national mobile operator chose to put in front of its own corporate customers. We designed it, we built it, and we still run it.
